Hornby HM2000 Train Controller

A complete transformer and speed control unit with built-in control for two separate trains, extendable to four trains by adding slave control units (HM2000+). Power output is two Amps, with compensation to regularise speed under varying conditions of load. 'Positive off' rotary speed control cuts all power when the control knob is turned to Zero. Features include forward and reverse switch, plus LED indicators for mains supply and output power. Outputs include non-variable AC and DC power for point motors and other powered accessories.

Hornby Analogue Train and Accessory Controller. As an alternative to our R8250 Controller, the Analogue Train and Accessory Controller features an improved, heavier casing, as well as an additional uncontrolled 14V DC output, with integral capacitor discharge unit (CDU) to support solenoid point motors. The Auxiliary output can also be used to power lighting on the layout up to a current of 150mA. A recessed reduction switch also limits the output to reduce loco speed. Requires 16-19V input from the P9000 mains transformer (Sold Separately).

PRODIGY ADVANCE2 consists of three elements. The POWER PACK transforms the power from your mains socket ready for the Base Unit. The BASE UNIT is the brains behind the operation. It contains all the technology you need to send DCC commands to your trains and accessories. However, short of turning the power on and off, you'll find your closest companion is the Walkaround controller which plugs straight into the Base Unit. The WALKAROUND is a hand-held controller that you use to send your commands to the Base Unit, which then sends them on to the relevant decoder on your layout. You control the speed and direction of your trains from here. One of the key features of DCC operation is that each of your locomotives has a numeric address which you select as and when you want to run that locomotive. DCC allows you to run it anywhere on your railway at the same time as other trains are moving as well. You can operate points (individually or route set) and signals from the Walkaround. You can use it to programme your decoders to replicate the running characteristics of your locomotives, or even introduce a speed clock that allows you to run a 24 hour timetable within one operating session. The possibilities are almost endless with DCC and with locomotives becoming available with factory-fitted decoders as standard, we are entering an exciting new era. Of course, you can also retro-fit your older locomotives with decoders if you wish.  This controller will run between 7-8 locomotives simultaniously and control 28 loco functions.

Hornby - Accessory Decoder with 4 Outputs

This Accessory decoder is suitable for fitting to any point, and can be easily programmed for operation by Hornby's Select or Elite DCC Units. The four outputs are factory set for the operation of solenoid (point) motors, however, by adjusting the CV settings of each output a graduation of varying "bursts" of current up to a constant current (turntable motor operation, lighting, etc.) can be obtained for each individual output.
